An update from Amanda...

Family and Friends!
Indeed, it has been too long since the last time I blogged.  I have now realized, that even though Kristen does a fantastic job of updating our blog, readers desire to hear my perspective on our journey as well.  So here is the lastest news... 
With week 30 of the pregnancy quickly approaching, I can still say without a doubt that this is the most remarkable experience of my life.  Gods hand has guided us each step of the way and his will is being served!  I am incredibly thankful that He chose me for this once in a lifetime opportunity to give my friends such a precious gift!
This pregnancy is going very well.  Besides the tossing and turning all night long, which results in a lack of sleep,  I am enjoying every moment!  My kids, Brady and Bailey are very inquisitive about the pregnancy and my big belly.  They fully understand that the twins, Fallon and Presley, are going home with Kristen, Rudy and Braxton.  However, they find my belly entertaining and shower it with hugs and kisses whenever they have the chance.   
This coming weekend is Kristen's baby shower.  I'm super excited to see all of the baby girl gifts she and Rudy will be receiving for the twins.   I will take pictures and hopefully, if I can avoid procrastination, post them sometime soon after the shower.

Sweet Baby Hiccups!!

Just for the record... Amanda texted me this morning and felt for the first time Presley had the hiccups!! How adorable is that?? I just had to share!!!!

T-ball fun!!

Saturday 4-21-2012 - Our boys had so much fun playing each other at Saturday's game!! Braxton plays for the "Rangers" and Brady plays for the "Cougars"... This is their first year playing t-ball and they both are really catching on and doing great!! I'm so proud of them!!

These are times I truly cherish.. I look forward to watching our boys play and enjoy spending time together! Now that I've started back working full-time, any little time I get with Amanda & her family is cherished in my heart and I'm always trying to snap a picture of us to record this magnificent journey we are going through.. an amazing journey to two little miracles...

Next up.. baby shower this Saturday!! I can't believe the shower is already this Saturday!! My amazing best friends Sarah & Wendy and their mom's who have been like 2nd moms to me my whole life, Barbara & Rose, are throwing a shower this weekend and I couldn't be more excited!! I can't wait for those who haven't met Amanda to meet her and I can't wait to see all my wonderful friends & family...

26 week update - Ultrasound of the girls!!

Our ultrasound went great!! The girls are doing so well. We went to a specialist in Temple and Dr. Allen said the girls looked healthy as can be. The tech did a full and thorough check-up and then the Dr. came behind her and did all the measurements and checked out their anatomies as well. 

Oh, I have to share.. at one point the girls feet were side by side and they were kicking each other!! LOL.. playing footsies.. it was too cute! We saw Baby B suck her thumb & they were both really active squirming around doing stretches!

Baby A (Fallon) is 2.2 lbs and Baby B (Presley) is 2.5 lbs!

Our next appointment is in 2 weeks.. April 18th! :) Thank you for all your prayers..

The girls' names revealed!

If you haven't heard, we finalized the girls' names!! We absolutely fell in love with these names and know they will love them too! Beautiful & Unique... just like them!

Presley Jayde (Baby B) and Fallon Celeste (Baby A)!!

We decided that whoever is born first (Baby A) will get my middle name.. Rudy has always said if we have a girl he wanted her to have my middle name.. dream come true! I'm telling you, we are still pinching ourselves.. I still can't believe we are being blessed with these two miracle baby girls!!

24 1/2 week appointment! March 21, 2012

We had our 24 week appointment on March 21, 2012.. Amanda is starting to show more and more, and I have to say she has the "glow"! She looked great..

Rudy, Amanda, Lauren (u/s tech) and I were all surprised when Randy walked in! We are so blessed to have him.. he's so supportive of Amanda and this entire experience.. They are the sweetest couple ever!

Thank you Lord for bringing this amazing friend into our lives!

Baby Girl A weighed in at 1lb 5 oz and Baby Girl B weighed 1lb 12 oz

We have a 26 1/2 week appointment this Thursday, April 4th at 4pm and we will have another ultrasound.. I'll make sure to update!! Thanks again for everyone's prayers!
